Replace Soonr with a better secure file sharing solution for MSPs
"CentreStack’s ability to automatically inherit a system’s NTFS permissions dictating access control for files and folders is a key benefit. Anchor & DropBox cannot do this. CentreStack is truly enterprise level because of their file server enablement and their ability to mimic the NTFS permissions."

"Our clients were primarily using either Dropbox as their file sharing solution or emailing attachments to share files. We needed a solution where the data does not go to servers outside of Canada as Dropbox data does. CentreStack's greatest benefit is solving this problem while providing the ability to share files securely and access them anywhere with full control of data storage and support."

"The primary competition is Dropbox, OneDrive or Sharepoint out of Office 365. But they don’t really match up to what CentreStack does. I think CentreStack is far superior because of all the capability of sharing and syncing while keeping your data private and secure."

"CentreStack is familiar; the interface is easy to adapt to. Our clients can see all of their files as they typically access them. They are using cloud storage the way they typically stored files with their old file system. With CentreStack, we've added $24,000 a year in new gross profit!"
Aaron Patton
President
Tenacious Networks
"CentreStack customer service is really good. They use electronic ticketing, which is what we prefer. To be transparent, in the 3 years since we rolled out CentreStack, we have had very few issues, which speaks volumes to the quality of their solution. We also created $25,000 in new income!"
Jordan Ray
"It’s really easy for my users. I can just tell clients, go to your “M” folder, all your files are there. They just get it. They can also download the app on any mobile device - it’s just really simple to set up and to use. It's also easy to manage and easy to sell."

If you were to goto soonr.com now, you would find Datto Unified File Backup. A couple years ago, it was Autotask Soonr Workplace. Datto has competing products in Datto Drive and Datto Backup. Autotask workplace pricing changed a couple times in the past.
As a MSP building a revenue generating service for your clients, it is unsettling to see a product with uncertain roadmap and price changes with the merger.
First of all, CentreStack offers greater flexibility by providing both self-hosted and hosted solutions, as compared to Soonr's hosted-only solution. For Soonr and Autotask customers that are looking for the increased security, control and compliance of a self-hosted solution, CentreStack is the right fit. In addition, CentreStack offers features like selective-sync, NTFS permissions integration, drive mapping and file locking among many other common file sync and share features.
Secondly, after Autotask’s acquisition of Soonr to create the AutoTask Workplace, there were pricing changes; the partner strategy and relationships changed; and the development and issue fixing cycle changed. The Datto and Autotask merger makes the matter even more complicated. CentreStack is a better alternative for the stability of both the product and the partner relationship.
Finally, for ConnectWise customers who were using Soonr in the past, there may be a conflict of interest when using ConnectWise as a PSA tool, but also using a Workspace solution from AutoTask. CentreStack is here to help with the peace of mind. Here are some of the features you may find interesting.
CentreStack has native NTFS integration to use existing permissions. Soonr loses NTFS permissions after migration.
Soonr chews up bandwidth and storage syncing all files all the time. CentreStack syncs and caches files after first access.
CentreStack provides native drives, permissions and file locking. Soonr doesn't provide the same level of integration.
Soonr only assigns permission at the top level folder. CentreStack assigns granular permissions at all levels.
CentreStack can selectively sync to build a local cache based on hard drive capacity.
CentreStack provides weekly updates based on user feedback. Soonr's development cycles are much longer with older interfaces.
CentreStack has native NTFS permission integration and granular folder permission controls. It is much easier to implement access control in CentreStack.
Soonr requires that data gets copied to its own data centers. CentreStack provides the option to remotely access data on your existing file servers. This is an option in Soonr that is not a focus and does not work seamlessly because of the lack of native integration with NTFS and Active Directory.
CentreStack's mapped drives are based on file system drivers for scalability and performance. End users get familiar mapped drives to access their files with file locking support.
CentreStack listens to customers and partners while maintaining an agile development process that provides weekly product updates.
Active Directory integration, NTFS integration and granular folder permission are all key features for a modern file sharing solution. Soonr doesn't have a good answer to this question.
Soonr depends on synchronizing files 100% to the end point device for it to be functional. Soonr is missing on-demand synchronization and enhanced selective synchronization. It also fails to provide a mapped drive for on-demand access with file locking.
